Portobello Street Style

We went on a styling trip to London. The objective of the day was to document the fashion of very different areas in London. I carried out the task with Rosie. I took the pictures and she asked some of the people we stopped a few questions to gather some information about the kinds of people that frequent the area and the most popular trends within them.

Surrealism Revival

Surrealism is an art form close to my heart. The creativity it took for greats such as Dalí and Miro to create such abstract beautiful pieces of art that conveyed powerful messages. I always love to see it being reintroduced into the 21st century.

Tatt today, gone tomorrow.

I went on holiday to Florence and picked up their March issue of Elle. It came with 4 volumes, it was amazing, i couldn't believe I got such great value for money.

I noticed in one of the editorials the girl had tattoos in multiple colours across her body in a freehand typography style, which I thought was unusual.

I did some more research into it and figured they were probably temporary tattoos being used for the shoot because of their style and the language used.

I think this trend will definitely be one of the main focuses at the Summer 2013 festivals as they gain popularity in Europe.

The Russians are coming

I'm an American TV fanatic so whenever a new show comes out I'm eager to check it out.

Two of the new shows that have come out recently have been based around Russian families which seemed more than a coincidence with Anna Karenina being released last year.

I did some research on Trendhunter and found some more interesting Russian related trends that were emerging.
